Guaranteed Mood-Boosters
Here are a bunch of things that inspire Good Feelings, be they memories, songs, movies, or activities. Note that this list is very personal and made only with me, Vivarism, in mind, but you might get some use of it, too. Regardless, I encourage anybody reading to make their own list! Even just making it is sure to brighten your mood, and you'll be happy to have it when you need a little pick-me-up.

- Ribbons
- Flowers
- Stars
- Hearts
- Little cartoon animals
Games to Play
Ever since I was a little girl, video games have been my favourite way to have fun. When I was 3 or 4, I borrowed my cousin's Gameboy Advance to play Catz, and the rest is history! Here are a few of my favourite titles, all of which are easy to pick up and play, as well as easy to immerse myself in.
Style Savvy
This one is great because I can take long breaks between playing, yet always come back and have a good time. I really like this game because I get to combine several of my favourite things: putting together fashionable outfits, shopping, and helping people! Each game in the series is great, but I'd have to say I enjoy Styling Star the most because it has a surprisingly engaging storyline. The characters are very quirky and I love to watch them interact!
Animal Crossing
Animal Crossing: New Horizons can quickly become stressful if I set my ambitions too high. So from now on, I approach the game with rock bottom expectations! Playing as my ambivalent and cheeky OC Io, I make my own fun: running around, catching fish, trying on different clothes, and designing vacation homes for funny little cartoon animals. There is no pressure at all. I'm on this island to relax and have fun!
Harvest Moon
This series is very near and dear to my heart. I think the best titles to relax with are the original Mineral Town games and Trio of Towns. And if I don't have the energy to play or just don't feel like it, just listening to the soundtracks of the games will give me a boost of happiness!
Ensemble Stars!! Music
I love rhythm games, and this one is perfectly suited to my skill level. Even when I don't get a perfect score, I always have fun tapping along to the music. My favourite song is "Tempest Night"!
Lily Diary
My all-time favourite mobile dollmaker app! I can make all sorts of characters, whether they're originals or recreations of pre-existing favourites. I always have fun using the new items or designing characters on a theme.
Picrew
If Lily Diary doesn't do it for me, then Picrew will definitely have something for my tastes. There are so many different artists creating dollmakers, each with their own level of complexity and personal style.
Songs to Sing
I love to sing while going about my day, and I have the most fun when I accompany myself on the ukulele. Here are my favourite songs to play, plus notes on capo/key for my own reference.
- "Wallflower" - Priscilla Ahn (no capo)
- "The Ukulele Anthem" - Amanda Palmer
- "Crooked Teeth" - Death Cab for Cutie (Transpose +3)
- "Creep" - Radiohead
- "Banks" - Lincoln (Capo +1)
- "Curses" - Crane Wives
- "If My Heart Was a House" by Owl City
- "Marunouchi Sadistic" by Shiina Ringo
- "Ive Got All This Ringing In My Ears And None On My Fingers" by Fall Out Boy (Transpose +1, Capo + 1?)
- "It's Over, Isn't It" - Steven Universe
- "Love Like You" - Steven Universe
